Many performers (musicians, actors, etc.) are strongly on the “I” side of the MBTI spectrum
Pass off to co-facilitators
Small group exercises give islands of respite
Give instructions for small-group debrief
Keep practicing in low-key situations (presentation karaoke)
Take an improv class
Toastmasters (find the right one for you)
Plan ahead for downtime
Give yourself time to get centered
Get comfortable in the space
Vocal and body warm-up in the space (stretch, walk the space, use your diaphragm)
Rehearse, especially Open and Close and Statement of Purpose
Memorize “Bones” of the session
Nurture and embrace the “I”, plan for time alone and enjoy it, go outdoors and wonder
Be happy-exhausted as you're celebrating achievement
Use “I” strengths, such as deep listening, being comfortable with loooong pauses, observation
Pace yourself intentionally, plan exercises for your downtime
Ask for help and check in
Ask for help with logistics
Make it clear that you're creating an environment for things to emerge
